At the W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 Diesel 18V46 (G1) thermal power plant in Mariehamn, a massive, heavily reinforced concrete machine bed had to be demolished that was four meters wide, 2.5 meters high and 17.5 meters long, with a deck thickness of 1.3 meters.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column]\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\n\t\t<\/section>\n\n\t\t\t\t<section  class=\"content-section    pt-40-xs pt-50-md pt-70-lg  no-margin\"    >\n\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row  row--column-gap-50\">\n\n\t\t\t\t\t[vc_column width=&#8221;1\/3&#8243; vc_columns_push=&#8221;ls-col-md-push-8&#8243; el_id=&#8221;anwenderorientiert&#8221;][vc_column_text]\n<h2 class=\"ls-text-uppercase ff-secondary ls-hyphenate\">Protection<br \/>\nof building<\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]When the 320-ton, 10-MW power plant and generator were driven into the building in 1990, the front wall of the former coal-fired power plant was demolished. The Darda splitting cylinders made it possible to carry out the work with much smaller demolition machines and still meet the schedule for the W\u00e4rtsil\u00e4 power plant in
