Rock Demolition and
Tunnel Construction

Rock Demolition
and Tunnel
Construction

Targeted and controlled excavation of rock, which is highly effective and rational: without explosion pressure, vibration, noise and dust generation, as is the case with conventional methods such as demolition hammers or explosives. With Darda Rock Splitting Cylinders, there is no need for time-consuming and costly protective measures, as well as permits. With the Darda splitting principle, up to 800 t splitting force can be generated manually and 1,800 t splitting force can be generated machine-guided in a targeted and controlled manner. Splitting direction and splitting course can be defined in advance. The splitting process is quiet, safe and generates hardly any vibrations, dust or flying rock and can be carried out while other work continues in parallel.

Splitting cylinders are suitable both in occupied environments, directly next to buildings, in basements, and in confined applications in mining and shaft sinking. They can also be used for driving cross-cuts in tunnel construction, as work can be carried out in any position within the working radius and also overhead.

Splitters
Make the
Difference

Powerful and usable anywhere

World's strongest splitting cylinder in relation to size. Use even underwater.

Low vibration and dust almost noiseless

Use also in populated areas and during ongoing operation – underground, as well in the building.

Economic and safe

No time-consuming and costly safety measures. No stone rock – other work can continue in parallel.

Accurate

The direction and course of the split can be accurately defined in advance. Lasting material is spared.
